AD: Do you have any advice for young designers starting out today?

MG: They can’t draw enough, and I’m not talking about the computer. I’m talking about drawing with hands and eyes and brain. They can’t draw enough, and they can’t read enough about architecture, especially historical architecture—Vitruvius, Palladio.
